Obama refuses to honor memory of slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry
For President Obama, Saturday came and went just as it usually does for most Americans, but for Kent and Josephine Terry, the day was undoubtedly a painful reminder that their son will never return home.

August 11th would have been Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's 42nd birthday.

A week ago, a campaign was begun on social networking site Facebook demanding that Obama join with the Terry family as well as millions of other Americans in recognizing this agent's sacrifice by lowering the White House flag to half-staff.

Over the last few days, this reporter appeared on radio talk shows and urged Americans to ask Obama for this rather small gesture of respect and many e-mails were sent and many phone calls were made to the White House with this request.

Not only did Obama refuse to lower the flag on Agent Terry's birthday, he actually ordered the flag to be raised to full-staff on Friday night, after several days of flying the flag at half-staff "in honor of the victims of the Oak Creek" Sikh temple shooting.
